Dahlia LOVE and care

Dig, rinse, sanitize, dry, store with a ton of hope wrapped around them. Figuring out the best way for your farm, zone and climate is no easy task. This is my first batch. I was planning to leave the others in and mulch them like crazy but now I’m chickening out. So once this first snow melts away, I will be hitting those beds. I’m planning to divide in the spring but as with anything, I may change my mind. These beauties (dahlias) take some work but it’s not constant (like any garden venture) and so rewarding at its peak. It feels like growing things forces us to slow down and really remind ourselves how nature really works. The care of a garden requires a much slower pace in which we start to notice small details of the world. I am grateful. ❤️
